A Chrome extension for TikTok reposts
Repostless does not publish a Chrome extension. Nothing about it is available to download today, and we would rather say that on the page than sell you a waiting list dressed up as a product.
Several TikTok repost removers ship as browser extensions. Repostless is not one of them — it is being built as an iPhone app. This page exists because "Chrome extension" is how a lot of people search for this job, and because there is something worth knowing before you install any of them.
What a repost-remover extension actually does
It does not have a private line to TikTok. It runs inside the tab where you are already signed in at tiktok.com, finds your reposts on the page, and clicks the same controls you would click yourself, one after another. That is the entire mechanism. It is also why such an extension needs permission to read and change data on tiktok.com — without that, it cannot see the page it is supposed to work on.
The permission prompt is the part to read
When Chrome asks, look at which sites the extension wants. An extension for this job needs tiktok.com. If it asks for all sites, ask yourself why. That permission lets it read every page you open, including your bank and your email, for as long as it stays installed.
Two more signals worth a minute: whether the listing names a real company, and whether the extension asks you to type your TikTok password anywhere. The second one is disqualifying. A tool that works in your own session has no use for it.
Five questions to ask of any tool you do install
This applies to every repost remover on every platform, ours included once it exists.
- Does it ask for your TikTok password? A tool that works inside your own signed-in session never needs it. If it wants your credentials, a server somewhere logs in as you.
- Where does the removal actually happen? On your device, or on the vendor's machines?
- Does it pace itself? Hundreds of instant actions look like automated spam. Raw speed in the marketing copy is risk in disguise.
- Does it keep a record? TikTok has no undo. A list of what was removed is the only way to put anything back.
- Can you stop it halfway? Pause, resume and cancel, without losing track of progress.
Doing it without an extension
TikTok's documented removal steps are written for the mobile app — its Help Center says nothing about tiktok.com in a desktop browser, and we have not verified the desktop flow ourselves, so we are not going to print steps we cannot stand behind.
